The leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ward 10 of Lagelu Local Government Area on Sunday made formal presentation its councilorship candidate to the Olofa of Offa at his palace.
The councilorship candidate, who is also a son to the traditional ruler, was introduced by a high-powered delegation led by the Secretary to the Local Government, Honourable Gbenga Alade, in company of the entire executives and members of APM in Ward 10.
The presentation formed part of the party’s ongoing grassroots engagement and mobilisation efforts ahead of the forthcoming local government elections in Oyo State.
During the visit, the APM leaders briefed the Olofa on their choice of candidate, highlighting his deep roots in the community and familiarity with the challenges facing residents of Ward 10. They sought the royal father’s blessings and support for a successful outing at the polls.
The Olofa of Offa received the delegation warmly. The monarch acknowledged the presentation and expressed appreciation for the party’s decision to formally inform the palace of its political plans in the area.
Delivering his remarks, the Olofa of Offa offered his royal blessings on the candidate and the entire APM leadership who came visiting.
