Establishment of a Local Security Network under an Operational Scheme- “Lagelu_Secure” | In a bid to enhancing security for businesses and residents alike, the administration has launched a local security network which is to work with the existing security providers and agencies— with investment in equipment and technology to improve response times and effectiveness. The initiative is a major lead towards the much advocated community policing strategy for the overall safety of businesses and residents. The Executive Chairman of Lagelu local government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has received the Oyo State House Committee on Boundary Disputes as part of the efforts to resolve ongoing boundary conflicts with neighboring Osun State. The committee’s visit aimed to assess the disputed areas firsthand and facilitate discussions towards a peaceful resolution.
During the touring exercise, the committee members, which included; Hon. Akintunde Olajide Emmanuel, Hon. Razaq Adekunle Mabaje, Hon. Adeola and Hon. Owoloabi— who were all led by the Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi, visited several contested sites along the border between Lagelu local government and Osun State.
