The executive chairman of Lagelu, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen on Tuesday received a delegation of Iyalodes from across local villages in his office. The delegation which comprises of the leadership of all village women leaders across the local government area, gathered to recognize the chairman’s outstanding contributions to the community.

During the visit, the Iyalodes expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Chairman Kamorudeen’s commitment to people’s welfare. They praised his innovative leadership and the positive impact of his numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Lagelu.

The delegation offered its prayers for the council chairman, assuring him of their continued support in his endeavors. In his reaction to the honor of the visit, Hon. What a good man!
Sometimes I think that’s the best and most powerful thing anyone can hope to hear when people are being recognized for their works and contributions to humanity— after all the appraisals and eulogy, to just say someone is a good man.

There are people who we share this world with who change the course of human history, not just through their roles in human events, but also through the examples of their life and their leadership. My Master, Balogun Joseph Adeseye Famojuro is one of those people. And for me- I think, my trajectory and my story- cannot be fully accounted for without solid reference to JAF.

JAF is so full of life and so full of kindness— it’s the kind of kindness we so rarely see in public life. And just like a colleague and friend said of recent he’s “a leader without portfolio”. JAF’s story is a testament that you do not have to be of high station office to be a good man.

Balogun Joseph Adeseye Famojuro, affectionately known as JAF. His journey on this earth isn’t merely of a passing time; it is of a relentless commitment to uplifting others, particularly the youth, igniting a spark of hope and endless possibilities where there were none.

JAF isn’t just a mentor; he’s a beacon of light in the lives of many— and my life and story is just a perfect example for anyone to want to consider. He understands the power of potential that lies within every young person, regardless of their background. Through his efforts, he’s created platforms that nurtures this potential, transforming countless sons and daughters of “nobody” into pillars of strength and success. He believes that every individual, irrespective of their circumstances, deserves an opportunity to shine. This unwavering faith in humanity is the cornerstone of his legacy.

All through his life, JAF demonstrates what it means to lead by example. He’s a living testament to the notion that with determination, passion, and a supportive hand, anything is possible. On the occasion of Fola Oyekunle’s birthday, Balogun Seye Famojuro has shared a heartfelt message celebrating the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde.

In a significant move to bolster the security and safety of educational facilities, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, has officially kickstart the “Light Up Our Schools” initiative at Ifesowapo Community High School, Wofun. The launch of the initiative occurred during an inter-house sports event by the high school on Wednesday.

The initiative was initially announced by Chairman Kamorudeen a few weeks ago during the commissioning of new classroom blocks facilitated by Rep. Akinmoyede Olafisoye in Lalupon. The program aims to install reliable night lighting solutions across schools in the local government area, addressing pressing safety concerns associated with zero lighting in educational facilities at night.

The initiative involves installation of solar-powered night lighting systems in educational facilities throughout Lagelu— with the aim of not only illuminating schools but also deterring potential threats to educational facilities.

Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government has conducted a site inspection of the ongoing road construction works along Olohunda-Aba. This visit marks his second assessment of the project.

Accompanied by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Gbenga Alade, and other local council officials, Chairman Kamorudeen expressed his satisfaction with the progress made thus far on the project. He reiterated the government’s commitment to infrastructural development, emphasizing its importance for community growth and connectivity.

In a groundbreaking celebration of community upliftment, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, the chairman of Lagelu Local Government has commended Rep. Akinmoyede Olafisoye on his mega empowerment initiative for constituents in Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency.

The mega empowerment included distribution of tricycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, and food packages to beneficiaries. The initiative was said to be aimed at equipping young people and women with essential tools for entrepreneurship.

At a vibrant community event held in the heart of Lagelu on Thursday, Kamorudeen took the stage to applaud Olafisoye’s commitment to socio-economic development. “Today, we are not just recognizing a nice move for development; we are celebrating a vision for our community,” he declared. “Rep. Olafisoye’s mega empowerment program is not just an initiative; it’s a great move towards self-sufficiency and prosperity in the federal constituency”.

The Executive Chairman of Lagelu local government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen on Wednesday promised a sustained state-local effort to rebuild the flood-ravaged yawiri road in Akobo.

In a new statement by his office, the chairman assured residents that he’s instituted an intergovernmental relation to facilitate a state-local response that would be robust in addressing the infrastructural challenge.

“Government is on top of it…. I want to assure residents that the flood-damaged yawiri will be served by a competent, effective, strong, and coordinated government response”, Kamoru said.

The Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly installed Baale of Eleruko, Oloye Tosin Oladimeji Segelu.

Following the approval of the executive chairman of Lagelu- at the recommendation of the local traditional council- Tosin Segelu was on Monday coronated as Baale-Eleruko.

In a statement released from his office on Tuesday, Kamorudeen expressed his confidence in Tosin’s leadership, believing it will foster peace, unity, and development within the Eleruko community. He lauded Tosin as a visionary leader, drawing parallels between him and his late father, the revered Oladimeji Segelu.

“The legacy of our late leader, Pa. Oladimeji Segelu, remains vivid in our hearts. His commitment to leadership, passion for service, and sense of responsibility have set a benchmark in public leadership. We trust that Oluwatosin will honor and further this legacy,” Kamorudeen stated.

The chairman offered his warmest wishes to Oluwatosin, his wife, and their children, as well as the entire Segelu family, as they embark on this new chapter for Eleruko.

In a commendable demonstration of responsive governance, the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. The landlords association formally acknowledged the chairman’s swift action in initiating an expansive dredging of water channels along Kute-Jenriyin Road. The intervention has been said to be crucial in mitigating the overflow that had consistently threatened to block bridges and culverts, causing significant disruption for commuters and residents alike.

In a letter of appreciation, Chief M.A. Ajibade, President of the Ifesowapo Landlords Association, emphasized the importance of the timely action. “The chairman’s commitment to our communities exemplifies the honor and responsibility of his office,” he stated. The community leaders expressed their gratitude for the chairman’s dedication, which they believe reflects a deep understanding of local needs.
