In a stirring tribute that echoes the fervent zeal of his ministry, Prophet Babatunde Animasaun, a revered spiritual leader in Lagelu local government area, has hailed Governor Seyi Makinde for the triumphant completion of the 5.9-kilometer dualised Akobo-Ojurin-Olorunda Abaa Road, a transformative infrastructure project that has reshaped the landscape of Lagelu Local Government. With heartfelt gratitude, Prophet Animasaun also commended the steadfast efforts of Hon. Kamorudeen Mudashiru, Hon. Akintunde Olajide, Chief. Benedict Akiika, and the Ololorunda of Olorunda Abaa, Oba Samuel Abiodun Folarin, for their instrumental roles in bringing this vision to fruition.
In a statement made available on Sunday, Prophet Animasaun declared, “The Almighty, in His infinite mercy, has guided the hands of Governor Makinde to deliver this road, a mighty artery of progress that binds communities, kindles commerce, and uplifts the souls of our people. This is no mere thoroughfare, but a testament to God’s promise of renewal, fulfilled through the unwavering dedication of our leaders.” He praised the governor’s fidelity to his campaign pledge made to the people of Ward 3, Lagelu LGA, during his electioneering, where he vowed to transform the once-neglected Olorunda Abaa Road into a world-class corridor.
The newly commissioned road, stretching from Idi-Ape through Basorun to Akobo-Ojurin and culminating at Olorunda Abaa and Eniosa Junction, is a marvel of modern engineering. Dualised with smooth asphalt, adorned with solar-powered street lighting, fortified with robust drainage systems, and complemented by tarred access roads, it stands as a beacon of Governor Makinde’s Omituntun 2.0 roadmap for inclusive development. “This road,” Prophet Animasaun proclaimed, “is a divine blessing upon the land, easing the burdens of travel, fostering trade, and knitting together the hearts of rural and urban dwellers in a sacred bond of progress.”
Turning his praise to the local luminaries who championed the project, Prophet Animasaun extolled Hon. Kamorudeen Mudashiru, Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, for his resolute leadership in overseeing the project’s execution. “Like a faithful steward, Hon. Kamorudeen has labored tirelessly, ensuring that the vision of our governor became a reality for the people of Olorunda Abaa,” he said. He also lauded Hon. Akintunde Olajide Emmanuel, the Lagelu State Constituency representative at the Oyo State House of Assembly, for his advocacy and commitment to the community’s welfare, noting, “Your voice has been a clarion call for progress, echoing the divine mandate to serve.” Chief Benedict Akiika was celebrated for his unifying presence and tireless mobilization. Finally, he honored Oba Samuel Abiodun Folarin, the Ololorunda of Olorunda Abaa, for his royal guidance and communal leadership, stating, “Your Majesty, your wisdom has been a cornerstone, anchoring this project in the heart of our traditions.”
