In a heartfelt gesture to mark International Workers’ Day, Opeyemi Rasheed, Chief of Staff to the Lagelu Local Government Chairman, extended warm appreciation to workers across the local government for their dedication and contributions to the community’s progress.

Speaking on Thursday, Rasheed praised the resilience and commitment of the workforce, describing them as the backbone of the local government’s development. “Today, we celebrate the unsung heroes who keep our communities thriving. Your hard work, passion, and sacrifices do not go unnoticed,” he said.

Rasheed also highlighted the critical role workers play in delivering essential services, from education and healthcare to infrastructure and public safety. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to improving workers’ welfare, including timely payment of salaries, capacity-building programs, and better working conditions. “We are working tirelessly to ensure that every worker in Lagelu feels valued and supported,” he added..

Rasheed concluded by urging workers to remain committed to excellence and to continue partnering with the administration to achieve its vision for a prosperous Lagelu. “Together, we will build a local government that we all take pride in,” he affirmed.
