In new interview with Yes 101.7fm, late Thursday, the Chairmanship candidate of Peoples’ Democratic Party, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen revealed a promise of best practice to put Lagelu on the pathway to effective growth and development.
During the radio interview, Kamoru maintained he’s of the very strong opinion that an unceasing engagement with people and their communities; trust and confidence of people in their own government; responsible leadership, and sound social programs are best practices to help put Lagelu on track for wholesome growth and development.
“I have always held what I call a utilitarian view of political participation: the entire purpose of politics, is the advancement of society. This is what has guided my participation in politics”.
“We’re going to closely engage with local communities on sundry issues of relevance to local development, and to the understanding of governance delivery, in our own clime”, Kamoru averted.
Further in his conversation with “Oselu Gbode” program anchor, Ademola Adesokan, the chairmanship candidate said what the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde is doing with governance is a confidence for any of chairmanship candidates under the peoples’ democratic party flagship today.
“What Engr. Seyi Makinde has been doing with governance is a confidence for any of us candidates in this coming local election”, he affirmed!
Kamoru who referenced past chairmen of his local government area as great achievers, said he’s understudied prospects and challenges of different local administration in Lagelu, with each of his findings making up leads for the first and second drafts of his policy trust document— which will serve as a guide to his administration, in the delivery of what he later termed “a promise of true governance”.
